Adrian Nicholas joined the SUNSHINE Awards in August 1995 as a Budget Analyst where he focused on the preparation, execution and monitoring of the organization’s budget. In August 1998, he joined the SUNSHINE Awards Executive Team as the Vice President of Finance where he focused on developing, implementing, and aligning the organization’s corporate financial strategy with its goals.

Adrian has over 20 years of experience working in various financial assignments: Staff Accountant at Baruch College, Investment Accountant at the Bank of New York Mellon, Senior Treasury & Financial Analyst at American Capital Strategies Ltd, and Program Manager at Systems Technologies. He is currently a Program Manager at Redhorse Corporation.

Adrian graduated with a BBA degree in Finance and Economics from Baruch College at the City University of New York.  He also holds a dual MBA/MS degree from University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business specializing in Strategy, International Business, and Supply Chain Management.  He also holds a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Georgetown University. Adrian is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and also a military veteran serving in the US Marine Corps Reserves as a Logistics Officer at the present rank of Major.

He is currently married to Taran Nicholas and has three children: Christopher, Rachel, and Paige.
